ReplyDeletethese figures would be used around aurngazeb's time, that was when the marhatta's started forming their empire under shivaji. Babur's army at panipat would have been somewhat influenced by persia and mostly would be mounted turkomans using standard turkoman tactics, lots of horse archers.Babur had also recieved cannon and cannoniers from istanbul from the sultan of turkey so you could use ottomans for them. babur's army was about only 12,000 at best 15,000 mostly horsemen
